Dr. May

Dr. Andrew May grew up in Dallas, Texas and Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. May attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 2009. During his year of clinical rotations, he did special rotations in pediatrics, contact lenses, geriatrics and retinal disease.

Dr. May joined Johnson Optometric Associates in 2009. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the North Carolina State Optometric Society. Dr. May is also a member of the Garner Rotary Club. He has special interests in glaucoma, emergency care and contact lenses. Dr. May enjoys music, running, reading, and spending time with his family. Dr. May started a music podcast in March of 2020 called Andrew’s Daily Five (found on Apple, Google, and Spotify) and loves connecting with patients through music. He and his wife, Rebecca, live in Holly Springs with their six children.
