Dr. May has a great bedside manner…totally listens to you and fits contacts that work for your needs. Always remembers me and makes me feel like I am one of the family to this practice. Great personnel and very welcoming and accommodating !

My experience at my first visit was a refreshing change! Part of the reason I delay on getting care I need is that my standards of customer care don’t align with most office’s anymore and I find the process so stressful most places that I avoid taking care of important health matters. From my first phone call to my check out I felt heard and cared for. The process was seamless and I never had to wait for next steps! Dr. Martin was a pleasure to be treated by and he was very thorough and kind and never made me feel he had somewhere else to be. Dustin guided me through multiple tests with kindness and consideration for my concerns. The team at the front got me in within a week, knowing I was about to lose health insurance and were warm and professional in their interactions with patients! In case you all ever wonder if this matters to anyone; it does! Don’t change a thing! I see you all!! Thank you to all of Johnson Optometric Associates for an experience that reduced my level of stress today! You just can’t know what that meant to me at this difficult time. I’ll be back next year!!!

My husband had an appointment with Dr. Hoye in February and I went with him. I was so very glad I did because I then scheduled an appointment with Dr. Hoye and saw him on 3/22/24. It was our first time having an appointment with Dr. Hoye.at Johnson Optometric Associates in Fuquay Varina.

I can honestly say Dr. Hoye is such a professional caring eye doctor who didn’t rush thru anything and gave great advice regarding my dry eye problem and discussed other eye issues with me.

If you’re looking for a new eye doctor, Dr. Hoye may just be the right doctor for you also!

My family has been a customers of Johnson Optometric for at least 5-6 years. And this last visit was one of the worst experiences I\’ve encountered ANYWHERE in years!!

I arrived at 8:50am for a 9am eye doctor\’s appt. There were 4 women sitting at the reception counter; 1 helping another customer; 1 staring a computer screen and 2 chatting in the corner. The one helping the other customer finally acknowledged me when she realized no one else was going to. (kudos to her!)

Then I sat for 25 minutes till taken back by the tech. Not sure why they were so far behind so early in the morning but they were!

The tech who took me back and the doctor himself, Dr. May, did their usual excellent job. No complaints there.

After my exam I was escorted to the Optical Dept. 4 techs where assisting other customers so I sat to wait my turn. After about 20 minutes all 4 techs finished with their customers within minutes and headed into their little room.

At this time another patient was brought out from seeing the doctor. After another 5 minutes some lady who I believe is a coordinator of some sort, came out, walked right up to the other patient, and asked if she could help her! The coordinator then went into her little room, and came out a minute lady and informed the other patient someone would be right with her.

The coordinator than proceeded to clean up the area, retrieving glasses that had been pulled out, still not acknowledging me.

I finally got her attention and asked if I can get assistance and got a nasty look, and she said nothing. simply turned around and went back to her room. At this point another tech came out and started to walk away from the dept. I asked him for my new script so I could leave and go else where. He went back to the room, said something, and headed away again.

Finally the coordinator did come out but to escort me to the counter so they could collect their money (of course) but she never apologized or acknowledge they messed up or anything. Just a snide \”Have a nice day!\” as she turned me over to someone to collect my money.

So as the clerk was collecting my money I asked to speak to a manager and after she checked a couple of times I was told no one was available till Monday. (this all happened on a Thursday morning). No one of authority to talk to till Monday?? Seems odd. Maybe that\’s part of the problem. No boss around so do a crappy job!!

So I paid what I owed and left. And to top it off…I still had to call when I got home because they still had not given my new prescription in all the paperwork they handed over to me!!!

Think long and hard before visiting this business. There are plenty of other Optometrists in town that treat their customers much better!!!!

These businesses need to learn it\’s about customer service…not just price!!

Today they lost 3 long time customers thought I expect they really don\’t care…….

Dr Jhala is the best! My first time at my new Eye Dr and loved it from beginning to end. The whole staff were professional and kind! The exams were so thorough, feels like I have now been to an Eye Dr for the first time! : ) Thank you Jill Eagen Johnson for referring me here!

From start to finish, a pleasant experience. This includes registration, exam and obtaining lenses. I will be glad to return in the future. Highly recommend this optometrist. .
