PHENOMONAL SERVICE & EXPERTISE!!!

First time at Johnson Optometric Associates (2/27/24) and I was pleasantly surprised at the overall experience, filled with a staff that exudes courtesy, patience, professionalism, and genuine care for their patients. Dr. Rachel Jhala was fantastic and even when the eyeballs can be sensitive to different lighting and testing, she made sure I was comfortable through the duration of my appointment. I highly recommend JOA to anyone, even if it’s for a simple eye examination. These professionals know their stuff and they will treat you with the utmost respect and care.

Wanted a more local optometrist here in Fuquay Varina instesd of going to Holly Springs. This appears to be a great choice. Only five minutes from the house. That said. The staff were very kind, helpful and patient. Doctor Hoye was great too! Took his time, explained things clearly, and was very thorough.

It took us only a few minutes to register as new patients. Then we were taken to exam rooms. Very clean, well furnished, and the equipment appears to be well kept and up to date. After the exams, everything was explained very well. Then back to front but there was no push to sell. We did choose to get new glasses and that went very well. I was looking for something close to the frames I had but not having a lot of luck… when I turned around a staff member had selected and brought over several frames that were close including one that was exactly what I was looking for.

A very good experience. Will be returning. Found our new optometrist on the first go.

I had a first-time examination at Johnson Optometric in Garner and was pleased with the visit. For the past year I have been having headaches and blurred vision with my glasses after wearing them for several hours, but not my contacts. Dr. Jhala found that the prescription for my right lens was off. She was constantly asking if I had questions, and for those that I did have, she explained the answers in detail. I thought it was a thorough examination. Everyone was courteous. I made the right choice.

It was such a pleasure to meet Dr. Kevin Hoye for the first time. He was so totally thorough with my eye exam for contacts. He’s very personable and caring and didn’t rush through the exam and he answered any of my questions and gave sound advice!

So very glad I choose him!!

My wife and I had back to back appointments, office was very busy ,but wait was short. Staff and Dr. May were very attentive and efficient, very patient with each of us as we picked out new frames after the exams.

I went to Johnson Optometric as a new patient. The front desk was open for check-in and I was almost immediately seen by the staff. Routine tests were performed and information taken. After only a couple minute wait Dr. Hoye came in with his assistant. Dr. Hoye was very pleasant and listened carefully to the eye history that I provided. He performed additional tests and came up with a treatment plan that was very agreeable to me. Afterwards I had my glasses adjusted in the eyewear center – excellent service. Check-out was quick and easy, though we neglected to schedule my next appointments that were specified by the doctor. All-in-all a great experience.

I had a great experience with every part of the process. My exam was intuitive and Dr. Jhala explained everything she was doing in a friendly way that made sense. Everyone was very friendly and personable and made me feel very comfortable and informed. Stephanie helped me order my glasses and made the process seamless and easy.

I did not like the way they handled the process. They were impersonal, not very friendly, and were not prepared to handle a child who needed help following directions. What really made it even worse was that the background music was Christian music, so the staff were Christians but they were acting unkind and I didn’t like that.
