I’m not a person who likes any kind of Dr. visit. I often avoid and procrastinate having them. I will not be avoiding or delaying eye exams with Johnson Optometric. My appointment was with Dr. Hoye and he explained what he was doing and what he was finding throughout the visit. I found Dr. Hoye to have a very pleasing personality with no hard sell. He made some very practical and relevant suggestions.

I have been seeing Dr. May for almost seven years now. His office staff is always caring, professional, kind, and will go very far in helping you solve an issue you may need to bring to them. As for Dr. May, I always enjoy getting to see him. I am a scientifically curious person, and he never fails to take the time to answer my questions about ocular biology, health and or disease. His professionalism and warm “chair-side” manner is second to none. There have been times where the initial prescription doesn’t end up working quite right in real life, or the contact lenses we’ve tried don’t do well in my eyes; Dr. May always makes sure to work through the issues until things are just right. Though their schedules are full, they work hard to accommodate you as best as they can.

Everything from the lovely receptionist who I had laughing about how her glasses fit the Johnson Optometric brand colors to the lovely Dr Clinard and how she makes sure that you understand everything about your vision health made me smile when i was in the office yesterday. While it might be a wait to get on their schedule, they are well worth it.

I have only seen Dr Clinard twice but I have really been impressed by her each time. She seems excited to be able to help her patients and wants to make sure they understand anything that she is doing/recommending and what is happening with your eyes. She explains what vision changes you could expect; surgery options and timing; and under what circumstances you need to call her. I could not ask for more care or attention from her or the staff.

I have been coming to this office for years for my eye exams. Dr. May and the entire staff are all very professional and friendly. They are very efficient and they never keep you waiting. Every visit I have had to this office has been a good experience. I highly recommend them.

I have been going to this office for over 40 years. I moved about 40 minutes away in 1990 but am glad to make the trip. I was sad to see Dr. Hartman retire, but quickly found that Dr. May was also excellent. Everyone there is friendly and I receive excellent care.

This was my first visit to Johnson Optometric and I am very pleased with my decision to choose this practice. The doctors and front office staff were excellent. The selection of glasses was excellent as was the fitting process.

I have been going to the Fuquay practice since 1962, when my family came to town. My doctors have been A. N. Johnson, Bob Johnson, Rick Hartman and now Andrew May. All have been excellent at their profession, as well as possessing great rapport with their patients. Everyone I have encountered in the practice has been friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I look forward to our continued association.

I recently was referred back to Dr. May. As always Dr. May has been great. My experiences with the office staff at the Fuquay Varina location has also been great. They are friendly and ready/willing to work with you to answer insurance questions and to make sure everything goes as it should.
