As the temperature continued to rise outside, cold and delicious ice cream was being served inside at our 65^th Anniversary celebration this summer. 65 years is a long time to do anything, and we couldn’t have asked for a better turn-out from our loyal customers to help us celebrate this milestone.

Our foyer was transformed into an ice cream parlor hosted by Sunni Sky’s, where dozens of flavors and toppings made the perfect treat. Patrons enjoyed a scoop or two of ice cream and conversed with others where they normally try on and pick out glasses. It was certainly a treat and a delightful change of atmosphere for the space.

It was wonderful to see folks who have only been with us long enough for one eye exam mixed in with adults who we have cared for since they were little kids. The sense of family and community around our business is one of the reasons we enjoy what we do so much.

At the end of the celebration, Dr. Bob gave a short speech thanking the patients, staff, and especially God for all the blessings over the years.  He also gave a short history of the practice.  We then had the drawing of the raffle winners.  Dr. Bob’s grandson, Caleb, drew the first name, followed by several other children.  We gave away 10 prizes of $65 gift certificates and 4 grand prizes of $650.

We are proud and honored to have served both the Fuquay-Varina and Garner communities over the years and we can’t wait to make it another 65!  Thank you for making our business not only special to us, but to others as well.
