Updated March 22, 2020
Dear patients and friends,
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, our office will only be open at our Fuquay-Varina location from 10:00-2:00 on Monday-Friday. Our Garner office will be closed for now. We will be watching the CDC recommendations closely and will be updating our office hours as things improve. We have been asked by the CDC and the NC State Optometric Board to only see urgent and emergency visits, so we have postponed all routine eye exams for the time being.
If your contact lens prescription is expiring, we are able to extend the expiration date by 6 months and offer free shipping to your house so that you don’t run out of contact lenses. We are also able to mail you your glasses during this time, and we can adjust them once normal hours resume in the future.
We do have a doctor on call for emergencies outside of our truncated hours. We will also attempt to provide telemedicine support via FaceTime/Skype/phone whenever possible.
We are striving to care for our patients’ needs while minimizing the risk of spreading this infectious disease. We hope that you can be patient with us as we work to navigate this ever-changing situation.
Best wishes,
Johnson Optometric Associates
