Dr. HartmanDr. Hartman

Dr. Rick Hartman is originally from Reading, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Albright College and his Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. His optometric training included an externship in low vision specialty. He served as a staff optometrist in the United States Naval Reserve at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Hartman joined Johnson Optometric Associates in 1979 and has been a partner for over 30 years. His practice interests include primary eye care, contact lens fitting, glaucoma, and external disease management. He currently serves as a preceptor for student externs from Pennsylvania College of Optometry and University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. Dr. Hartman is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. His professional affiliations include the North Carolina State Optometric Society, the American Optometric Association, TLC Laser Eye Centers and the National Glaucoma Society. He and his wife, Jocelyn, reside in southern Wake County.
