I couldn’t be more pleased by the care, efficiency and level of professionalism that is demonstrated by Dr. Hammond, his technical and front desk staff at Johnson Optometric. I first met Dr. Hammond about 6 years ago after moving to the area. I was having trouble with my vision and thought I needed my contact lens adjusted. I also wear “loupes” in the operating room. Loupes are $2000 glasses with very precise telescopes attached. If your eyes are not lined up properly, it’s a disaster. Dr. Hammond was very generous with his time and wouldn’t give up until he got things perfect for me. “Good enough” was NOT good enough for him. It had to be perfect.

Recently I entrusted my vision to his colleague who performed a cataract operation on me. It was a tremendous success and perfect care was received in every way. The office is guided by Christian Principals and the Golden Rule is evident in every interaction with their patients. The front desk staff is superb. If all physician practices were run as well as Johnson Optometric, we would not have the healthcare problems we do today. Dr. Hammond’s Standard of Excellence should be the benchmark in which we compare all other optometric practices.

Everyone is always helpful and nice. This was one of the most thorough exams I have had in awhile. Dr. Hartman and the staff are terrific, professional, and make going to the eye doctor enjoyable. Thanks for the great service and being in Garner.

I have never had a bad experience with any doctor at this office, but I have been seeing Dr. Hammond for years now, and he is wonderful!

It had been quite a while since i had been to the Eye Doctor. Dr. Martin explained everything and answered any questions I had. The staff is always very friendly and extremely helpful. They even helped me pick out my glasses since my eyes were dilated and it was difficult to see. I’m so glad I found such a great office with such great doctors and staff!

I went for my annual eye exam yesterday. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. A couple of years ago I switched to Johnson Optometric upon a couple of recommendations from some friends. I’d gone to the same eye doctor for years and was hesitant to change. I have tricky vision and I worked for an eye doctor’s group for a period of time (and got free eye exams) and they could never get my presciiption right. I have an astigmatism, am near-sighted and now need assistance with reading small print. Dr. May is fabulous and has corrected my vision better than my previous doctor He’s patient and very personable. My daughter and son also go to him and he’s great with kids.
