Saw Dr. May for a yearly visit today and was very pleased. The front desk staff (check in and out) were professional and helpful, especially the check out person who explained how to submit a rebate. The assistant who started with me was friendly and did a nice job, and introduced herself by name, which I’m finding more rare these days. Dr. May was outstanding as usual, including asking about family, as he always does. I appreciate the exceptional job he does, including finding a very satisfying solution to a problem I was having with previous contacts. Also, even though I consented to have some extra tests done, Dr. May elected not to do them because they weren’t necessary at this visit. This gives me confidence that he performs only necessary tests.

I’ve been to both offices, and am very pleased with both.

Excellent visit today. I normally hate going to the eye doctor and wait too long in between appointments but today I decided to try a new doctor and they were wonderful. The technician, Gwen, is probably the nicest tech that has ever worked in any office. She made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Martin was great as well. He had a much better demeanor than some optometrists I\’ve seen, and I appreciated the efficiency of the appointment. I also really like that dilating your eyes is optional here, whereas it is not in another Garner optometrist office I\’ve visited before. I will definitely keep going here!

I went today(9/11/17) for my regular yearly check-up. Saw Dr. May and he gave me an excellent report. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. I’ve been going there for years and always feel comfortable1 Dr Hartman was my regular doctor for years. Glad he is able to retire but, I miss him!

My first visit was not very memorable unfortunately. Due to a miscommunication, the doctor went into another patient before me and I was left waiting quite awhile. He was very nice and apologetic and had a professional air about him, however. I was not pleased with the cost of the visit or that of my new lenses. I guess it never mattered when I had insurance, but now it does! You would think senior citizens would be given discounts for what they obviously need.

Dr. Hammond is amazing! He remembers not only my eye condition, but also my personal history that affects pieces of my life. He asks about my family and seems to genuinely care. The whole healthcare team is amazing and they work to keep you comfortable and moving while there! Strongly recommend.n

I have been a patient of this practice for more than 20 years and have always felt comfortable when I go in for my eye exams. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

By far my favorite eye doctor office ever! Assistants and doctors are so patient and polite no matter how many times it takes to make up your mind which is clearer, #3 and #4.

But I love the atmosphere, too. They are not ashamed to put out biblical verses and decor. And while you\’re waiting in the dim examination room you can hear soft hymns playing over the speakers. Very peaceful!
