I have been seeing Dr. Hammond for a number of years now. He always treats each patient with kindness and respect. Each patient is special to him and he makes you feel that way. I would highly recommend Dr. Hammond to anyone.

I’ve been searching for a good (great) Optometry office that I was comfortable going into and didn’t feel pressure about purchasing expensive glasses/contacts, etc… This is that place!!! I will be back! Thanks so much for taking great care of me, and letting me know about extra things going on, but absolutely putting no pressure on me to purchase anything! Thanks again!!

I am a long-time patient of Dr. Hammond. He is an outstanding Doctor. Professional, knowledgeable, patient, friendly and concerned are just a few adjectives that come to mind to describe him. He always has the patients best interest at heart and is completely focused when attending to the patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Hammond to anyone.

Feels like family there

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hartman for about 15 years. Recently I’ve developed some complicated circumstances that require extra attention. Dr. H is wonderful about explaining in terms I can understand what the future holds. His staff is just as talented at what they do. I think the only thing their eyeglass guru Jim can’t do with a pair of glasses is hold them out at arm’s length, let them go, and have the glasses hover in midair. My good luck to find them from a reference by a pal.

I saw Dr. Martin today. This was my first visit to this practice. The entire staff was friendly and the office itself was warm and inviting. I look forward to be a patient at this practice for many years!

Hoping for Express Delivery

I live abroad and see Dr. Hammond as frequently as possible. He is very thoughtful and professional. The lens operation is doing their best to ensure delivery of my new glasses before my departure. I deeply appreciate that. The front desk and staff responsible for appointments are very confused and disorganized — they reflect badly on the business. It took me a week of work and repeated follow-up to secure an appointment; even after that, they botched to the timing and required multiple interventions to correct.

Great!

I have been going to Johnson Optometric since I was 12 years old. I am now 62 years old. I just had my yearly check-up and as always was treated by friendly, courteous, respectful staff . Dr. Hammond is so patient and takes his time and answers any questions I may have.
Many years ago, I had an eye emergency on a Sunday and Dr. Bob saw me after church! That’s the kind of care this practice offers. Everyone at Johnson Optometric lets you know, you are in great hands.

We have been patients at the Garner office since 1995. I just cannot imagine going any where else. Tey are professional, kind, caring, have amazing chair side manors. I have referred many people to this office and will continue to. We just love every one there. From the girls at the front desk, to the girls in the back, Dr. Hammond and Jim over in the optic section.

Growing up with JOA

I was in 5th grade when I was told by Dr. Al I needed glasses. In 12th grade I decided I wanted contacts. Dr. Al said, he was going to pass me on to his smart son that dealt with “those contacts”. :O) Today, I am 54 and still seeing Dr. Bob. He not only has cared for my eyes as a healthcare professional, but has been a sincere friend for all those years. When I am in his office for my yearly eye exam, I feel as though I am the only patient he has all day! Each year, Dr Bob is interested in my family. We’ve cried together, prayed for loved ones and celebrated the happy moments. Being in healthcare myself, I appreciate this kind of care. It’s the care I try to give my patients also on a daily basis. Dr. Bob and the other doctors care about our eyes but also about our lives. That means so much.

While the doctor is usually the main reason one goes to the office, his office staff speaks volumes of his personality. The Garner staff from the front , the assistants in the back and the opitical shop are phenomial. These are the first impressions of a “well kept” healthcare office. No doubt the impressions made here are excellent.

Thank you JOA for the many years of care. I would go nowhere else for my eye care. While I’m sure the day is coming when Dr. Bob is going to want to retire and enjoy his grandchildren and time with his sweet wife, I feel confident that he will be leaving me in very capable hands with Dr. May or Martin.
The coming years of JOA are sure to be just as bright as ever!

With sincere thanks!
