All of the doctors in this group have taken care of me at one time or another. Once I had blurred vision and Dr. Hammond or Dr. Johnson (?) saw me on the weekend! He was that concerned enough to have me come in.I was very thankful for his kindness.
Each of the doctors and staff are always polite and professional. They are so talented as musicians too!
I don’t know which doctor it was now but he diagnosed me with histoplasmosis in my eye! Histo spots can be seen in the eyes of people who have inhaled the spores from fungus stirred up especially around the Mississippi River Basin.The amazing thing about this was it had been over ten years since I had lived in that area!
I had had my eyes checked by optometrists annually for many years. But when I moved to Fuquay-Varina, I decided to go to this group since they were highly recommended by a neighbor. There have been no complications from the histoplasmosis, but no other doctor or optometrist had ever told me that I had the spots!!
The other great thing about this group is: it is sometimes hard to find a group of doctors in which you like all of the doctors. These doctors are all wonderful, friendly, kind and knowlegable.!!

The staff is absolutely great, very professional and very caring.

Dr. Hammond is wonderful. The BEST part is that I take a medication that can cause a multitude of problems. He is up-to-date on the testing that I need. He makes sure I understand what and why of all the tests, what needs to be watched closely. I got more information from him than the Specialist who prescribes the medication. How wonderful is that!!!

This visit, I got another very pleasant surprise: A new friend!

Everyone in the office were great. Dr. May was kind, helpful & explained everything in detail. Julie was amazing when it came to picking out frames. Overall, It was a very good experience.

This is the best practice I’ve ever been to. Everyone from the front desk to the lens and frame shop is AMAZING. Dr. Martin was incredibly friendly, patient, and really knows what he’s talking about. He’s full of fun facts and it is so clear how much he loves his job! This is a wonderful office and I could not recommend it more!

My husband and I have been using Johnson Optometric, Garner, since moving to this area in 1998. Dr Hartman has been our optometrist the entire time. Now that we have visited both locations we can truly say that they are both very good experiences. The entire staff is always courteous and well informed from the front office to the optometric assistants to the fitting of glasses and/or contacts. We always recommend Johnson Optometric when someone asks for a good referral. Thank you Dr. Hartman and your staff for always being so kind and thorough with every examination.

I have been seeing Dr. May for sometime and have found him to be va very caring professional and I am so pleased to hae him as a doctor. The rest of the staff are very professional and pleasant also.
