I went in for an eye exam and check up for the first time in a year. My doctor, Dr. May, was very informative and extremely professional. The rest of the staff was very kind as well. Though my glasses were off the whole time, I could tell that everyone was all smiles, and they treated me very kindly.

I was diagnosed with an eye condition during my visit, which Dr. May did a great job of explaining. Though I was initially worried about what the condition meant for me (I’m an artist and graphic designer), Dr. May gave me full details about the condition, as well as places to learn more about managing it. I was able to go home and research my condition more extensively, and with Dr. May’s instructions and medical recommendation, I felt completely at ease.

Overall, I highly HIGHLY recommend this team. Though I’ve moved to Raleigh, I 100% plan on keeping Johnson Optometric Associates as my primary eye care provider.

I’ve been Dr. Hartman’s patient for about 8 years. He is GREAT! Unlike my previous eye doctors, he was able to convince me to stop sleeping in my contacts by quietly saying something like, “It’s helpful for your eyes if they get a chance to rest.” No lectures, no nagging; just quiet words of wisdom. 🙂 I had slept in them for over 20 years, but now have taken them out nightly for 5+ years.

a great chair-side-manner. He was thorough, explained what he was doing, and answered all my questions. There was no pressure to purchase any procedure or product. All options were presented for my consideration. Glad to be a new member…
